Ryan was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and grew up learning several trades, absorbing finite info from family, friends and professionals. He always had aspirations towards the musical vein, and therefore played as a drummer in various “Metal” bands and toured the “B” circuit until the recording bug hit. Took night school in Calgary for Sound Engineering, and then moved to Vancouver for a full two years of training in the craft. He never went back.

After grad he entered the retail music field and within two years became manager of Tom Lee Music in Richmond, BC. All along this journey, he began utilizing computers to supplement his recording chops and has increased his knowledge from Atari Mega 4 to Mac 10.4 Became a certified Macintosh technician in late 90’s and continues to expand the grey matter in all areas of Microsoft domination. Since his Calgary days, he has constructed several recording studios from conception to completion. Most recently a complete “mansion overhaul” in Penticton BC for a Post Production/ Music facility, and another complete recording facility at the Centre for Arts and Tech, affectionately known as “Studio B.”

Ryan is currently Technical Services Manager for the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna, B.C. In Kelowna he writes a monthly column for “Off Centre” a local monthly magazine. Ryan describes himself as quite a personable and outgoing “single” individual who shares his love between his two wonderful boys, his brand new toy, and figuring out ways to stay 18 years old for ever!
